Gürkan Deniz is the founding partner of Deniz Legal.
Gürkan graduated from Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law (2013) and admitted to Istanbul Bar Association in 2014. During his university years, Gürkan attended Alternative Dispute Resolution lectures and Legal English programs in USA. Within the scope of Erasmus exchange program, Gürkan studied one semester at Bielefeld University in Germany. Gürkan did summer internships in reputable law firms of Turkey during his university years and completed his legal internship at Yarsuvat&Yarsuvat Law Firm, where Prof. Dr. Duygun Yarsuvat is a managing partner. Gürkan holds an LL.M. degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Reading in UK, where he graduated with a degree of merit in 2015. His dissertation subject is about Intellectual Property Law. After master’s degree, Gürkan worked at a private law firm which provides general legal consultancy services to its local and international clients operating in various fields. During this experience Gürkan specifally worked in the areas of Obligation Law, Commercial Law, Labour Law and Intellectual Property Law and afterwards established Deniz Legal.
Gürkan still continues his Ph.D. studies in Private Law at Istanbul Commerce University and he is fluent in English. Gürkan is also a registered Mediator before the Ministry of Justice.
